Hello my name is RL and my story is like mostly all of those on this site. I have stumbled upon some hard times and the Lord has guided through most of this and I am thankful to know him. He possibly led me to this site to continue to help. I was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2001 was treated with chemo and radiation and only had a 7% chance of it returning. 2003 it returned to the bone and liver. I had a hysterectomy, hip replacement, kyphoslasty surgerey on my back and most recently 2006 it spread yet again to my lung and alot more bone. Needless to say I lost my job of 10 years. I had benefits for one year but after that you must pay cobra and I am only receiving disability and that is one thousand dollars a month and my house paymet with taxes and insurance is nine hundred sixty. I have two children one eighteen and one sixteen. The eighteen year old works and is going to go to college soon if we can get him a car. My ex quit paying child support or should I say he pays about fifty dollars a month so he cant be arrested. The eighteen yr old is my son and he also made a huge mistake and now has a child and mom just up and took off so since he signed the birth certificate we have to hire an attorney to get a paterninty test. My utilities are soon going to be shut off and I am trying my best to get help. I have been to food banks, churches and to welfare but they say a family of three with my social security and my sons grocery packer job we only qualify for medical. Which is a blessing itself because I could not get anymore chemo if not. I don't have an exact amount but anything would help. I am creative and can do clerical things on my laptop in bed so I would not jeprodize my health. I am willing to work for trade but once again I can't except a paycheck because then I will lose my medical.
